We founded Splash School with one goal in mind: learning to swim should be both fun and safe. All of our instructors are lifeguard certified. We currently have swimming lessons at Craguns Resort in the Brainerd Lakes area.

Our Team

Our incredible team is truly the heart of Splash School. It’s their dedication, passion and talent that keeps students invested in the learning process. Take a look below to learn more about the team.

Curt Hoffman

Owner/Instructor/Trainer

Curt got started teaching people to swim in high school when he taught his mother how to swim at their lake one summer. In 2001, he was certified as a Red Cross water safety instructor and became an instructor trainer in 2004. In 2002, he also became a certified lifeguard and in 2010 became a lifeguard trainer.

Kate Hoffman

Owner

Kate enjoys swimming but prefers to stay out of the water

and work on the computer around her other job of home

schooling her children.

“Our kids have made tremendous progress with Curt in the last few months compared to other programs.  His one on one focus has paid big dividends for our girls.  Curt is very skilled as a swim instructor and has given our girls great confidence in the water.  I would highly recommend him to anyone and is money well spent.”

Debbie & Mike Riley

“We have seen so much positive change in our son's swimming skills since taking him from the overloaded classes he had been attending and bringing him to Splash School.  The one on one  instruction is great but the mutual respect that we see between teacher and student is inspiring.

We will continue to recommend Splash School to our friends and family!”

Troy & Tina Turcotte

“At Splash, my children are learning proper swimming techniques. Curt instructs students while paying close attention to the details all while making the class fun. I have no doubt that my children are getting the individual attention they need to swim with confidence!”
